Take an
exotic musical journey around the world with Kimo & Jody Huybrechts
of the world fusion group Ranga Pae. Ranga Pae (which means
"encircling the earth" in Maori) was formed in 1995 by the
husband and wife team of Kimo and Jody Huybrechts. As a group, they
began by seeking divine inspirational themes, and expressing those
themes through musical improvisation on their indigenous instruments
accompanied by guitars, keyboards, and drums. Residing in the artist
town of Makawao, Hawaii, Kimo & Jody perform at Maui’s five-star
hotels, conventions, restaurants, and cafés. They lecture on
ethnomusicology, demonstrating unity in diversity with their indigenous
instruments.
